Goddard Ranch, private 106 acre hide-a-way, at 9400 ft, with creeks & ponds, surrounded by 1.2 million acres of national forest. Horses or ATV’s are welcome! Renovated mountain home w/ brand new bathhouse. We offer detailed knowledge & maps of many trails for hiking, hunting, dirt bikes, horses, ATV’s & Jeeps. Only 40 minutes from downtown Buena Vista. We want you to be as comfortable as possible, while enjoying the true essence of the Rocky Mountains.

The space
This amazing 2 story home is set in a beautiful valley, east of Buena Vista. Enjoy the majestic Collegiate Peaks from every balcony. You’ll see spectacular stars, sunsets & sunrises, & possibly some amazing wildlife. We have just about any Rocky Mountain animal you could imagine, including elk & moose. The main home is solar powered. We offer 50″ TV (with cable), Refrigerator, Internet, Instapot, electric tea kettle & more. The outdoor cooking area, with grill, Coleman stove & prep table, is protected from the elements. We have sinks, plenty of solar power for lights, cell phone chargers, Bluetooth speakers & more. There’s ample hot water, 2 toilets, 2 showers, 3 extra large sinks & changing areas. The shower room can be used as a sauna. There’s also a tuned up antique piano. If there’s anything else you need, we’ll help you out. Your job is to have as much fun as possible.

Guest access
All guests may access the entire property except the small storage area above the showering space. That area is for the owners only. You may hike or ride horses all over this property.

This ranch is near Davis Meadows, a popular hiking trail, The Arch, Salt Creek Trail, Chubb Park, Fourmile Recreation area. Arkansas River Recreation Area, San Isabel National Forest, Buffalo Peaks Wilderness, Brown’s Canyon National Monument, lots of BLM areas, award-winning fishing spots, numerous Fourteeners to climb & whitewater rafting down the Arkansas River. Hunters, this is GMU #49. Plan ahead on this one; lots of elk. We welcome special events & weddings.
